On 10th June 2010, over 200 Scottish based professional recruiters gathered to celebrate the achievements of the industry over the last 12 months. While the recruitment industry has suffered hard in general, it has also sorted the “men from the boys” in a tough, competitive climate and there were still a number of success stories to celebrate. The dedicated Tesco Bank team at Bright Purple Resourcing won the Team of the Year Award. Having grown the original team from 2 people to 10 people over the last 12 months, excluding 3 key people who made a huge impact on the team but have since moved on to pastures new, the award was accepted on the evening by 3 team members, led to the stage by director, Jan Mutch Dee Tears, a senior member of the Bright Purple team commented, "A huge thanks has to go to all of our colleagues at Bright Purple, but especially to our Tesco Team Members who have all grafted hard and with huge amounts of determination and passion over the last year. It was a fantastic evening, with key Recruitment Companies celebrating loyalty to each other, while showing respect to their competitors. For myself it was a great honour to be present and able to accept the award on behalf of a fantastic team, most of which who were slogging away back in the office, whilst we were sipping champagne , hopefully it'll be their turn next time. We have dedicated so much to making our partnership work with our client, so it was great to receive recognition from our industry."
